Details are still murky, hopefully we'll get a clerestory soon.

Many churches have 'caught fire' in the US too:

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/121198...tter-protests/

I'm by no means a fan of The Sun, but many news outlets have failed to give this much coverage. They say "A number of Catholic churches have been torched and vandalized in the US as cops investigate whether this is linked to the ongoing statue protests."

Arson investigation after blaze at 15th-century French church -

Saturday's incident is being treated as a criminal act, a prosecutor said at the scene. Pierre Sennes said three fires had been started at the site.

However, the damage was not as bad as initially feared.

Really, really, sad news for so many believers in Nantes but also across France.

I grew up in a Christian family, but I consider myself agnostic, and I'm greatly concerned about the country's culture and history.

Not a fan of the Sun either, however, there are a lot of attacks against the Church happening across the US in recent days/weeks.

I'm not sure the Evangelicals will take this on the chin. We can forget that these buildings and statues are big parts of their lives and hold a lot of significance.
