I want to not use condoms to feel more intimate but I’m scared to rely on my inplant alone.

I'm female and have never used either.

Listen to your gut instinct and what your feelings are telling you.
Then choose whatever option feels most suited to you and your relationship.
But remember that no artificial short to medium term contraception is guaranteed to be 100% effective at preventing pregnancy or std infections.

condoms are actually only 85% effective, whereas the pill/coil/implant is 92-99% effective. the only issues here now are whether you are in a monogamous relationship and whether you and your partner have been tested for STIs. if you're both clear and neither of you inject recreational drugs then you should be safe from STIs, AND pregnancy (of course because hormonal contraception is more effective than a condom)
