Can I enter UK without my CAS letter?

I already have a visa that expires next month but my course has ended. The university says that they will send the CAS letter soon. Can I enter the UK without a CAS letter from the university and apply for my visa from the UK when I get it or do I need a CAS letter to enter as my course has already ended?
You can’t apply for a tier 4 visa from within the uk in the majority of cases.

Talk to your university to find out when they will issue the cas. Entering the UK before your visa is issued is going to cost you more time and money.

I already have a Tier 4 general student visa. Just need to change/switch it.

Plus the embassies in my country have not yet opened. I might not get a visa at all.
