Why is the answer D not B? What is the difference between them? We should only be able to determine the distance to star but not galaxy as galaxy do not emit light.
Is it because both nitrogen and hydrogen should have same temperature and thus average KE. By KE = p/2m, nitrogen having higher mass, should have larger momentum.
Since it is young star, the answer is definitely not red giant and white dwarf. What is the difference between A and B?
