Practising for Classics Admissions tests?

Hi, I'm looking for books which are helpful for the cambridge Admissions Assessment for Classics (Latin at A-Level).Therefore, has anyone recommendations? I'm an international student which is why I am specifically looking for sth that explains the basics of translation into English
I suggest looking at @tritonpw Classics chapter on Cambridge Deymistified: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?p=88386986 and you could ask them?
You could try reading through Edmund Luce's 'Helps to Latin Translation at Sight' and having a go at some of the translations there

In terms of actually doing the test, the best advice I can offer is to be as literal as possible in your translation when you are unsure of the sense, but strive to write perfectly fluent English when you are very sure of what the Latin means. Reading the whole thing through once over may help if you're good at skim reading, and do not neglect the initial summary at the top of the passage.
hey ! just saw this, i applied for the 4 year course but it seems you are applying for the 3rd, so im afraid i can't help you with your latin admissions test as i didn't do it ! apologies, good luck though
