So tomorrow, my friend has invited me to take a trial lesson with her golf coach, as it’s something I’m interested in learning. However, I’m the kind of person who wants to do everything but doesn’t for fear of failure and being mocked. This is my first step in getting past this, but I’m still lowkey worried because it’s night and dark and that brings out all the bad thoughts in me...

I used to be like a normal kid until around Year 3 as I had 2 major eye surgeries and as a result had to avoid the sun and contact sports. As a result, all athletic ability I may have once possessed has gone down the drain. I have private tennis lessons with only my sister because anxiety (stopped a while back because of COVID-19), and I’ve only had those for maybe 1 1/2 months.

Any tips for building confidence?
