Does anyone know of any medical books which are worth reading for the last few weeks of the summer holiday? I've read 'The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat' which i thought was brilliant . Are there any other books like this people know about?

There are loads on Amazon's top selling books. Look under "Medicine".

Best of all, you can return items for free within thirty days with a full refund, and so it doesn't really cost you anything.

Anything by Lewis Thomas, gives you perspective with regards to applications of medical science and the way one looks at the world. Its old stuff now, but he was well ahead of his time.

"The lives of a cell" is brilliant.
