Hey guys, I'm starting AS this September and planning to study English Lit, Biology, Sociology and Performing Arts (or possibly History). What do you think is the best way of keeping notes, exercise books or file paper. I say someone saying they have a ring binder they bring to school and then transfer the notes into different lever arch files at home, which seemed promising, but I was hoping for other peoples opinions.

I would always go for loose-leaf, as it makes it easy to keep separate exercises and homeworks (which you probably won't look back on too often for revision) and class notes (which you will probably refer to heavily).

I used to use a plastic expanding file (not one of the giant blocky ones, a thinner plastic one) to store sheets of paper. I found that better than a ring binder because:
1) It's more waterproof
2) You don't get the issue of sheets being tucked about in it and the holes breaking
3) I could use it to store worksheets that were given out in lesson that weren't hole punched
4) It's quicker to tuck stuff into it at the end of a lesson

Thank you so much for replying! That definitely sounds like a good idea
