I’ve firmed a uni for healthcare and I’m having doubts of starting in 2020 due to the virus and mental health issues. Can I still defer or is it to late?

You'll need to check with the uni. Be aware that most universities are trying to avoid or even have blanket bans on deferrals. I would lean on your mental health issues as the reason you are deferring and avoid bringing up the virus as a concern, and try to get evidence of your mental health problems if possible.

It depends on the uni, try ringing the admissions department and they should be able to let you know if deferring is possible.
