Ohh yea sorry I started a new post

I really need to put in a tampon because I am a professional swimmer 🏊*♀️ and I am starting swimming again since the start of the pandemic

The only problem is, is that I cannot seem to put a tampon in

I cannot ask my mum or dad as I’m in a children’s home cos there dead

When I try and find it, all around that area really hurts.

Is it supposed to be like that or is something wrong
Sorry for the long message, sharp words etc. I am just getting a bit flustered

Also have you got any other advice on how to insert a tampon

All advice much appreciated
Thank you.

Hi, inserting a tampon doesn't normally hurt and I don't think it should. Make sure your in the correct position to insert it, so sitting over the toilet, or one leg on a chair on bath edge etc, double check you are putting it into the correct place and definitely read the instructions on the box before you do anything..

If it continues to hurt it may be worth speaking to a GP or sexual health professional as they should be able to check that everything is okay down there.. good luck!

Was it your mum or did you do it yourself

My mum and dad died last year and I have been living in residential care for young people since then

It has to happen now doesn’t it!! :/
Just when I go back to swimming!!!

Hi, I learned everything through the internet to be perfectly honest, I didn't talk about it with my parents..

Have you got a social worker or carer who can help or even another girl who is living there with you? I'm sure they wouldn't mind helping or teaching you about it! Sorry to hear about the loss of your parents!

Its really frustrating! One of those things us girls have to deal with!

Ah okay, definitely reach out to one of them, they will have gone through it so hopefully they will know what to do and how to help!
