Should you work out the glutes if they are sore?

Hey, I am currently trying to build my glutes a bit. I am kind of sore on one side today not massively but kind of sore. Just wondering, should I still workout the glutes/ that side if its sore? Should I do fewer reps on it?

Kind of sore is fine, just push through it. Your muscle output is not affected that much by DOMS.

If you're relatively new to training, you can expect DOMS. Make sure you're not training your glutes everyday though, you need rest days for muscle groups.

A bit sore is fine but if they’re really sore then no. It’s important to have rest days as outlined above. What happens when you work out your muscles is they fear and repair, bugger and stinger than before. So, if you’re already really really sore, it means you’ve torn you’re flutes enough for today and you need to rest the next day for them to repair.
