sixth form advice

im starting sixth form and my alevels in september n idk what to expect or what i need or anything (like supplies wise). any tips or advice? if it helps im doing english (lit+lang), media studies and sociology

its not that much of a change honestly u just need to work harder as you learn more things, make sure you have a laptop for urself so that you can work on it and make time to work outside of lessons to make sure you understand what you were taught, there arent really any 'supplies' you need its basically yr11 just more work

Make sure you have a folder/display book that you can keep your notes/sheets in. Always take it to school with you so that you're prepared for when they give you homework/notes. It's extremely easy to lose vital things that you'll wish you had put in a designated place. Don't waste money/time on fancy stationery to make pretty notes, it's not effective and not useful at all. Honestly all you need is a pad of paper, some cheap black/blue pens, and maybe one other colour for marking and a highlighter. Preferably, you should keep this in a see-through pencil case as they are the only pencil cases you are allowed to take into the actual exam.
