Warwick rejection

Just checked my ucas only to find that I have been rejected from Warwick, my first choice. However im a bit puzzled to why I got rejected. My GCSE results were good and I got 4As at AS and predicted 3As. I do many extracuricular activities and I thought my personal statement was fairly well written. :frown:

that's really worrying, i applied to warwick too and if your results were good i dont see why they rejected you.

why dont you contact the admissions tutor by telephone or email??

he/she will give you an explanation, and put your mind at rest.

sorry about the rejection :frown:

:frown: :frown: I heard something about warwick being anti-private school. But quite a few people went there last year from my school. I'm still in shock

Its because of these hypes about the benchmarks. If you ask me universities shoul not be told which school you went to. Let them make their offers based on your personal statement, module results, entry exams and interviews only. I have had about enough of the social engineering bull:smile::smile::smile::smile:...
Aw, bad luck. Did you apply for straight economics (L100?) Anyway don't worry, you've still got 5 other choices

It's not just private schools Warwick may be biased against. Quite a lot of countries outside the EU get their people in at really low grades... so Warwick hasn't got much a reputation internationally.

Really sorry to hear about that - bizarre, the admissions process.

Yea L100. I really cant think of a reason why they have rejected me yet a friend of mine who would regard himself as a weaker applicant hasnt received any news yet their form went off two weeks earlier. Only 4 choices since LSE rejection but that was expected. It's just a bit of a throw back because Warwick was my top choice and to be honest i expected an offer
