Hi! I am making my transition to GCSE in september and I was wondering how big the gap between year 7-9 is compared to year 10-11.

Tbh I didn’t see a difference at all. Only maybe I had to revise in yr 11 but that’s it tbh.

hi! as far as i remember the jump from y9-10 wasn't drastic at all. you may feel overwhelmed because of the emphasis on GCSEs and the pressure you might put on yourself as the year carries on, but the lessons were just like any other ks3 lessons for me you adapt to gcse content a lot better than you think. which ones did you take?

(year 11, of course, is another story)

It's not too bad but it does ramp up. Just make sure to keep on top of revision

year 10 isn’t hard you just revise a bit for mocks and maybe make some resources along the way and pay attention in lessons. year 11 is when you have to properly revise. if you don’t understand anything or you’re really failing then you should put more work in.
