Entry Requirements Explained

Hi There

I am v new to looking at universities, I am wondering what the following a level means:

A*A*A-A*AA

To me it seems like
subject 1 A*
Subject 2 A*
Subject 3 A-A*
Subject 4 A
Subject 5. A

But I mean who takes 5 a levels?

Help :frown:
No, it means getting A*A*A, OR A*AA
So basically saying you'll be expected to get the lower one, however you may not be seriously considered, unless you get the higher grades.

As Chocolate-fan says, it means they expect candidates to get A*A*A or A*AA as a minimum, and the offer is likely to be one or the other after personal statements etc are taken into account

It means the university will look at your application.
If they decide they are going to give you an offer it will be either A*A*A or A*AA, which offer you get could depend on:
prior attainment, how your school performs, background, A-level subjects....
