Economics at Strathclyde

Why does the economics degree duration at Strathclyde University is 4 years instead of 3? Wil I get the certificate by the third year? and also do I have to pay for the fourth year?
All degrees in scotland are 4 years for the honours level, 3 years without honours.

Hey there!

@Vintage Girl is right, generally Scottish degrees are four rather than three. After three years, you'll have your Bachelors degree but not full Honours. If you're an RUK (applicant from England/Northern Ireland/Wales) student, you will only pay tuition for three years though! You'll still need to factor in extra living costs for the extra year of course... :eating:

If you want to complete a degree in three years - have a look at the BBA (Bachelors in Business Administration) programme. This is a similar degree to our 4 year programme but a bit more accelerated  You'd still get a chance to specialise in Economics as part of your studies.

Hope this has helped a little bit? If you've any more questions about our courses/fees let me know- I know all this info can be confusing sometimes!
