Currently in my first year of university and have to re do an essay that I did not complete from first term, however my mental health was the reason I was unable to do it as I was extremely depressed at that time.I was meant to see a GP about my mental health in the Easter holidays as I’m still registered at the GP back home but due to corona I’m unable to get a proper assessment and therefore have no ‘evidence’ so my uni hasn’t considered it even though I told them about it. How am I meant to get an assessment to prove to my uni that my mental health is bad when my GP isn’t doing appointments at the moment??

Your GP should be doing appointments. People haven't suddenly stopped having issues because of the pandemic. Have you actually tried contacting them?

As above, GPs may be phone only but doesn't mean they can't assess/help/give you evidence for uni.
