It breaks my heart that people still watch Friends?

Sorry, but I find this show dated, overrated, contrived particularly in its earlier seasons. The show is a mess and lacks the satirical edge of other TV shows of the time Simpsons or South park.

This is not a troll post. I also find it sexist, misogynistic and homophobic.

Ah, different people, different opinions. People like different things. I myself do not watch Friends, but I do watch an old British TV show called My Family. But you shouldn't go round telling anyone what they can and can't watch.

I agree that Friends is comedically and dramatically lacking, but it's not exactly something to be emotionally wrought over.

I love friends I will rewatch it time and time again when I run out of things to do, but I can totally see it’s outdated and there are things that aren’t acceptable in it nowadays and completely get that!

It’s just a show it’s not that deep.
Personally I only watched it as background noise while doing other tasks such as studying.
If people like it, they like it. There doesn’t have to be a reason

I just I'm finding it a little grating and disheartening that people are continuously to watch this dated rubbish.

That's your opinion, but remember not everyone will agree, but you're entitled to believe what you want.

I hated Friends for a long time before I watched all the seasons last year.

It is definitely dated in many ways (attitudes to homosexuality, minorities, etc especially in the earlier episodes) but all in all a great show. The humour is still classic and the characters are iconic in many ways.

PC culture has tainted it's reputation unfortunately

You say "I also find it sexist, misogynistic and homophobic." yet act like you like South Park which is far worse for these things.

Friends is a great show, made in the 90s

all you kids born in the 00s whinging about how it's not politically correct need to go get a new hobby.......

South Park had a satirical edge to it. Like I said, it was knowingly homophobic to parody those who are actually homophobic.

What?
That's not what I meant. I meant you're saying it's sexist and homophobic etc, you can't hold a 2 decade old show to today's standards.
It'd be like me whining that a woman is in the kitchen in a 50's film.

You can have your opinion about it but not force it on other people.
I personally think it's mint.
