Hi all,
I have just completed my PGCE in History and was wondering if i am eligible for a tuition fee loan to start a nursing degree as it is a lot of money that I dont have to start the course!!!!

Hi there,

You most certainly are. Nursing (UG or PG level) is an Equivalent-Level Qualification (ELQ) exempt qualification, meaning that despite having studied to an equal level, you will still be eligible to apply to governmental funding. For this academic year onwards the government are also reintroducing additional bursaries to those pursuing nursing degrees (£5k per year) to encourage more to enter the profession.
