I am comparing ROM within people when landing from a jump, right ankle angles verse left ankle angles to see if there is a significant difference between the two to see if the participants show a difference in ankle ROM. I am ok on running the actual tests im just not confident in which test is best to do. There are 8 participants, so comparing right to left for each participant and not as a group. thank you

I'd suggest a comparison of two means t-test. Null hypothesis would be mean left ROM = mean right ROM. It depends on your assumptions though, do you think the std dev for left ROM is the same as the std dev for the right ROM? If so you may want to use a pooled t-test.
