Why on Earth would she do this?

Curious to hear other people's take on this. There was this girl I was friendly with in sixth form. Out of all the students, she was really on it with her coursework and knew what she wanted to study, and what she wanted to do for a job. She was also extremely caring, considerate, compassionate, fit (she loved her Rugby, Hockey, Tennis etc) had a dirty sense of humour, and was beautiful.

She went and got a really good degree. And moved to a city, and got a really good job as a mental health nurse.

Now she's back in our hometown, in a relationship with this stupid, waster douchebag who used to bully me at school. A guy who has STDs.

Anyone have any relevant suggestions?

My suggestion is to move on.

Edit: Actually my suggestion would be to delete this thread, seek help and then move on.

It sounds as if you may have some underlying issues that need unpicking.

What’s the question?

Edit: it’s in the title. 🙄
Does it matter? It’s between her and the boy.

I was just wondering if you guys thought this was a small town mentality or something?

And no, of course it doesn't matter. Just a friend, I thought she would have done better.

His partners usually don't stick with him for more that 2 mins.
I did use to look up to her as a person, but don't now.
