I would like to do a level3 counselling course , most are "private "
but the qualification is recognised by the government . What is it and
can I apply for help? I am 54yrs old , on ESA and cant afford the deposit .

Student loans offer an advanced learner loan to cover the tuition fee but the course has to be registered with them, so best check with the provider if they are included. If not I've heard banks offer professional development loans, they may work.
