I hold a discretionary Leave to remain brp. Can I get into an apprenticeship?

Hey guys, am 19 and couldn't go to university as I am not allowed government funding, am I able to get into an apprenticeship (L3) since (not too sure) the employer needs funding to provide for apprenticeships. Am allowed to work and I have had this permit for a year

Looking at the funding rules,it says anyone with an eligible and valid residency can so i dont see why not.

Thanks for the info- that's one of my options. Can you look at my other post for student finance eligiblity since I found my discretionary leave to remain under long residence category. I also plan to contact student finance soon.
