Me and my sister both over the age 20 are saying if we get this job we can get our apartment our mom says that she will sell the house and let us fend for ourselves (she did pay for our colleges)

Probably a bit of empty nest syndrome, a bit of envy of young people on the start of a lifetime of adventure, and maybe she's got other things she wants to do. But if you can afford an apartment then why shouldn't you fend for yourselves.

Yes, trying to control the two of you.
It sounds like her ultimatum is "if you move out of my house, I'll sell it and never give either of you any financial support again".
Assume that if you do leave, there will be no chance of any inheritance and little positive communication with your mother.

The only question is this a price for freedom and privacy that both of you are willing to pay?
For me the consequences of escaping were vastly preferable to the consequences of staying and I will never go back.
