My hair has never been manageable. Recently I threw loads of that Garnier Fructis stuff in a green tub and just pushed my hair in every direction. came up with this:

How can I improve it?

It looks fine to me..
Why not experiment oneday and just have it flat?
In the mean time just keep using a good conditioner..

Nah not going on holiday, why?

I've had it flat forever! Only recently I decided to do something with it.
My peers have been shocked by the change and I've had mixed reactions but I'm glad the majority here think it's acceptable. What would you call the style btw?

I attempted to do the same thing again but it doesn't look quite the same as the first attempt. Still alright looking? How can I make it look the same?

It looks fine matey, u just need to be careful not to spike it all up in a brushed back fashion (it ends up looking afroish and not nice!) - a bit like u have in the top pic.

But overall, ur first attempt is good ... brush it off to one side..and try to keep a fringe ie. dnt spike it up as well.

Sorry to bring this up again.

Thanks for all your advice. I just can't seem to style my fair in the same way.

That's all I could do today. I just don't get what I'm doing wrong. I'm using Fructis style fibre gum jelly.

every day is gonna be differant, hair grows and its gonna be hard to get it the exact same every time, just do your best and worst case just get another hair cut to style it.

how long has it been since you got your hair cut into this style?? if its a new style can take a while just to train your hair to go the way you want it, if this is the case keep doing what your doing and getting your hair trimmed regularly will help you keep the same style. if youve had the same style for an age, you could try something other than fructis as this can sometimes be quite heavy on fine hair and so can flatten your style! hope this helps
