Guess the Story from the Picture - Quiz of the Week #1

Welcome to the Quiz of the Week!

We start the quiz tomorrow night (Saturday 8th August) at 7.30pm!

This will be the first quiz in the Quiz of the Week series, and will be testing your knowledge of news stories from this week. Visit the master thread for more details of the series, and to sign up for notifications when a quiz goes live!

How it works
For each question, I will post a picture and leave it to you to tell me what the story is. Questions will be posted roughly every five minutes, and I will quote in everyone who has answered previous questions in the quiz.

Scoring
Everyone will receive one point for each correct answer, and the person scoring the most points receiving a tasty prize of 100 rep thanks to the Community Staff! Rep will also be given out for witty responses in the style of Have I Got News For You, so do have fun with the pictures!

Discrepancies/challenges surrounding correct answers and scoring will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

I'm getting sad i keep missing these quizzes :frown:

Aw sorry! You can do it for fun retrospectively however - I'll be posting the questions in the OP with the answers in spoilers after the quiz has finished so if you want to go back and have a go you can.

2. This would be the unnamed Conservative MP arrested on suspicion of rape, sexual assault and coercive control. It later emerged that the Chief Whip was aware of these allegations.
