could i sit a-level history without sitting gcse histroy? is it doable and what topics to expect? i dont even think my sixth form will let me but just wondering

you can sit it without having taken gcse history. The topics differ and the writing and exam style is different so even if you had done gcse history it wouldn’t benefit you that much apart from being able to learn a lot of information

I did A level history without GCSE history and even got As/A*s in my mocks this year. Topics will be different depending on which sixth forms you consider.
