Best non Russell Group Unis for Physics?

hey!

so my friend wants to study physics / astrophysics but his grades aren’t looking fantastic right now.

which unis are still pretty good but have low entry requirements?

Russell groups include some universities that accept quite low grades.

What sort of grades are we talking about specifically?

looking at Cs really. nothing confirmed until results day for mocks next week.

Ok. Then your friend has tonnes of time to research courses and universities. With Cs then they might want to think about a foundation year option.

Both Swansea and Aberystwyth are asking BBB but often accept lower. Might be worth enquiring about in clearing.

Best non Russel group unis for physics might include St Andrews, Aberdeen, Bath, Loughborough. But plenty of other Russel groups that rank FAR below these unis (Liverpool, Newcastle, Queens, Sheffield etc).

Russel Group only is important for postgraduate Studies not UG
