Is what I'm having an anxiety attack?

I've had these in the past, and I've put them down to anxiety attacks, but I wanted to check if they actually are.

To describe what they are like, is extremely difficult. I've had a panic attack and it's definitely different. My attacks are weird, my brain feels really strange, almost like I am dreaming. It's not unpleasant, but I know it's not good. I kinda guess it feels like I'm going mad, but not very. I have a general warm chest, but it's mainly weird how my brain is that defines the attack.

I had them when I went to uni a couple of times, and I had them when I was at my gf's new place this weekend, but I have had a close loss. They are linked to stress, but...

... I was wondering if someone had had anxiety attacks and they sound similar to what i have had?

anxiety attacks normally involve a rush of blood to cope with fight or flight situations which results in vomitting etc, you may feel faint and hve stomach problems

warm chest may be down too the extra blood being pumped to it

and yer ive had them before, one after bad stuff happend in my personal life and i occasionally get them before my diving competitions,, my anixiety levels are just too high...

Do they ever come on when you are completely relaxed, or pretty much always when you are stressed/worried?

Usually relaxed. I've woken up to these attacks before. I never feel like vomiting or faint too.

Thanks for the replies
