I've received an offer from BPP and Southbank for their PGDL/GDL/CPE. For both I'd be taking the LLM route to help pay for it, however the cost is significantly higher at BPP. Is the different in quality large enough to warrant taking their course?

On the other hand, wandering around the forums I've also seen comments saying that the GDL will be useless from next year due to the SQE. But I don't think it's worth waiting around doing nothing for a year when the details for that aren't clear yet.

Your thoughts?

Whoever saying the GDL will be useless from next year doesnt know what they are talking about. Care to point them out?

Personally I would go with BPP. Have you been to one of their open days for their PGDL? There is probably still time before September to jump on one and ask any questions/concerns you have.
