Can teachers appeal my grade without asking me?

Hi, I'm getting my a level results tomorrow and I am a little confused about if teachers can appeal my grade without asking me first. From my understanding (I could be wrong) if teachers appeal your mock grade could be awarded? I'm honestly sooo confused and would appreciate some help!

The rules are that schools cannot request reviews where there is a possibility that the mark and grade may go down (e.g. a standard review of marking - often called a remark) unless they have your written permission. Since this year grades can't get worse then it is possible, but unlikely, that they might.
