Maths predicted grade

Hi everyone, I recieved an A for maths iGCSE (predicted grades) but I think I would've gotten an A* had I sat the exam.
I am planning on studying medicine at a Russel Group University, (which are highly competitive) so my question is, will my 'A' grade disadvantage me. (It's pretty expensive to resist in the October/November series, so I will only opt for that if it's very necessary)

An A is fine!! It's only your GCSEs, and it's really A Levels they worry about.
an A is still really good, and when applying for medicine unis won't be only looking at your gcses.
