My girlfriend just got instagram and she won't accept my follow request and she doesn't even follow me.
Ask her why ? She should follow u and she should let u follow her anyway that’s weird.

If she’s outright refusing to follow you/ignoring it, I’d say it’s odd. Maybe she missed the message/didn’t see that part? If not then I don’t see why she wouldn’t follow you. If she’s responding I’d definitely ask why.

Why should she follow him? Just because they're in a relationship, it doesn't mean that she's obliged to.

If I were her, being told what to do, I'd purposely ignore you too
You're trying to tell her what to do, you have to respect that she's a person too with her own mind who can make her own decisions
Perhaps she doesn't want to follow you because it's not her kind of content. Have you considered that?
