So I’m considering taking a business management degree and then proceed to go into (business/management) consulting, however I have a few questions
Firstly I’m not sure if my current a level subjects are suitable to proceed with this degree, the subjects being Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, they’re obviously more STEM directed although I’d hate to further pursue ‘sciencey’ subjects at uni level. Furthermore I was looking at QMUL, KCL and UCL, although not limited to these. I also considered LSE, although they require maths and I don’t take it, so I was wondering if that’s a disadvantage.
Secondly I was wondering if the degree itself is worth it and whether firms see it as soft or not. Obviously spaces at top consulting firms like KPMG and McKenzie are pretty competitive, and I would hate to get turned away for taking a ‘soft subject’ even if it’s from a Russel group university like KCL and coupled with work experience.
