Hello, is it possible to resit a level biology on a different exam board for autumn- from OCR to AQA, while still not classing it as a resit. I chose this as i have found much more questions and resources online, and i prefer the questions on AQA board as opposed to OCR

SarcAndSpark don't suppose you know anything about this? I know you had to be entered/have intent to enter in the summer to be allowed to resit but not sure about switching exam boards!

I assume not since your school will be the one submitting you for the exam so they're the ones choosing

They do AQA A level biology exams too, so I assume it would not be a problem. However, I don't know whether it would be counted as a resit or not since if I did do it, it might be classed as a different qualification to OCR A level biology

A-level biology syllabuses can differ by up to 50% of the content, so regardless of whether this would count as a resit, I wouldn't advise this. Which OCR spec would you be swapping from?

But talk to your school- your exams officer is the person most likely to be able to find out the answer to this. I feel it shouldn't be counted as a resit, but I would want this confirmed by the new exam board.

Thank you. I have actually changed my mind and will do an OCR biology A level as you're right, the courses are very different.
