Why do girls play hard to get?

Why do girls play hard to get?
When there are literally prositutes and pornstars who are 9's and 10's who have sex with anyone?
Surely playing hard to get games shows youre not desireable long term partner?

Well you say they wouldn't be a good long term partner but I don't think you are really interested in that at this point since you mentioned porn stars and prostitutes and quick sex. I hate the idea of chasing after someone, if they like me and I like them then there should be no need for a chase. Relationships aren't just about sex you know. Sure people can be quite beautiful but for a long term thing you need to like each other and there needs to be more than looks keeping you together. Another thing, prostitutes do it because they need money and porn starts also most of the time.

to me playing hard to get is slightly immature and petty.
if you really like someone and want to be with them, there's no need to play hard to get is there?

I think if we play hard to get and you acctually put effort in to get us we realise you realllyyy do want us and we then know you’re not like messing us about and stuff
because you lose interest if we're too easy
If a girly says that she's not interested maybe you should just take no for an answer and not automatically assume that you are Gods gift to Earth and every girl who isn't concerned with you is playing hard to get.

It was just a curious question because ive had girls like me, they tried to make me jealous then i just moved onto another girl

i don't know fr fr but even when i've had zero interest in guys they've continued chasing me :/ so i dont think its that much of a deterrent if he likes me
