Hi, do you have info on the application dates etc. Also on the NHS website I could only find the Manchester university teaching the course for biochemistry while in the previous years there were loads. Any tips on how to prepare?
Hey guys, I'm going into second year in September but I'm very interested in applying for the STP. Anyone applying straight after their Bsc? Also what specialism have you guys decided on doing?

Hey, I'm interested in that too, do you have a degree in bioinformatics?

Hey!

I am interested in applying for Audiology! I am super nervous though haha, it's mainly the aptitude tests that are worrying me!

Does anyone know roughly when we find out about locations?

I have been looking at the practice ones and they give 90 seconds to answer each on the numerical ones!
Aptitude tests are just used in the initial sift. I know a few people who are gunning for the Bioinformatics programme this year. Should be fairly competitive, so start working on your application now.

Are those people fresh out of a BSc? Or do they have another degree? What does one have to do in terms of working on an application?

Thanks

Nope, they have PhDs in the field. I should stress that by no means is a guarantee to getting onto the programme. It just gives them an extra edge, something you can prepare to account for. Be the best candidate for the position. So work on polishing any of the competency questions using the S.T.A.R technique.
Hey everyone, I'm interested in applying for clinical biochemistry! I've seen no updates on locations yet, hopefully they will release some more information soon.

It tends to be a broad number of locations. Chances are you will find a couple places you really want to work at.

From what I’ve seen it’s numerical and logic tests? You can find practice tests somewhere on the website!
Does anyone have good links for practise aptitude test questions? I've already practised with the ones that the NHS website suggested.

I’m looking at audiology as well, I’m coming from an allied health profession as my degree is in osteopathy, not sure if they will accept it as it’s a healthcare rather than straight science but I think my experience is pretty relevant. It is so competitive though by the sounds of it!
