So basically, my shool starts doing gcses in year 9 (two options) then two other options in year 10 and then all the core subjects in year 11 along with two more options. (im in year 10 btw) i was just wondering if anyone else's school did this?

i've heard of some people doing gcses in year 9, but i think it's a lot rarer than people who take them in year 10.

Yep my school started GCSEs in grade 9 and then we wrote the actual exams in grade 11. So 3 years. That's what you meant right?

Hey! My school started doing the gcse course in year 9 and we do our exams in year 11. However there is one subject that we started the gcse course in year 8 and did the actual exam in year 10. I’ve never heard of a school that does actual gcse exams in year 9 itself tho... x

I also sat my GCSE English language, literature maths and biology in year 9 but that was like 15 years ago? It was a pilot scheme for 'high achievers' and from what I remember was a failure for most of my class - attaining average C's who likely would've got A/A* if done the normal route
