Hey!

So I recently got a new laptop, and with having done nothing special since March I'd really love to do something with the spare time I have. I've been feeling super productive lately, my uni hasn't given us a reading list yet and won't until we get there so I don't have much to do.

For anyone that has their own blog, could you give me some tips? How often is a good amount to post to remain engaging? What is a good way to organise what I write about and when? How to advertise my blog?

I have a few ideas, such as writing about what I'm learning through my degree (would be a particularly useful reflective exercise), fitness and healthy eating (non-diet) and also my profitable hobby which I shall not name so as to not have my post taken down. I was also thinking to write about any general interests I have such as world issues, animals and tattoos/art.

Really, any tips would be very useful!

Do you mean a blog on TSR?
I have a blog for educational purposes too which I keep on here. I use it to keep track of my revision (I decided to do some light revision this summer and since I have no immediate exams coming up, my revision schedule is a little erratic). But once uni starts, I'll also (hopefully) update it weekly with things I've done and learnt academically.

It's good to format your blog in a certain way e.g. specific colours, fonts or sizing to provide structure to your blog.

neko no basu has a really awesome blog which I'd recommend looking through for inspo

Hey!

thanks for the tips and I will check their blog out! I'm thinking of starting a blog elsewhere - maybe creating my own website but I think this costs doesn't it?

I *think* so since you usually have to pay for websites but I'm not 100% sure
I know of other people who use their social media as a blog space, such as instagram for example

Maybe - which is the reason I won't start the blog on here. Wondering if instagram would be friendly towards it, as long as nothing explicit was shown.
