How do you know which campus is better suited, St. Mrys or Brentford. Also is it culturally diverse in UWL ? What is the Social life like?

Normally it depends what school you're in for example, if you're in the school of nursing and midwifery or school of social sciences it's you will be going to Brenford often

If you're in the school of music or computer science you will be going to St Mary's often

Oh yes UWL is definitely culturally diverse there are also club for ethnic minorities like the African club or Arab club

Mostly in Brentford for lessons and for computer use most people would go to St Mary's

All mine were at Brentford. Nice place with a lunch hall and big library.
One term I was at St Mary's.
Looks like I won't be going there again as its last year and no face to face :frown: going to miss it.

Disso due in a month. Went by so fast. Nearly there.

I have done a couple of short term nursery placements near my home. Good Experience.

I have also applied to some NHS play worker jobs and NHS nursery nurse jobs. Also graduate teaching assistant jobs in primary schools.

Not sure if I would like to do PGCE right now. Maybe in the future.

That's an interesting topic, how many words is the dissertation assignment?

Reply 131

9,000. It seems like a lot but when you type most of the word count fills up. started writing in from December and I'm up to 7,000.

Good luck finishing off your dissertation, is that the only thing you need to do now or do you have other assignments to do?

I really enjoy second year but I'm not really enjoying the research module I personally find it really boring, but I love the communications and literacy module and the practice placement module

3 more assignments till I'm finished with second year 😁 which I will finish on the 4th June (deadline for my final assignment)

And also UWL might allow face to face on the 17th May but by then we'll be finishing off our assignment but it would be nice to spend the last day of second year with my peers. What about you?

3rd year went quick. Interesting modules too like special educational needs, leadership and multiculture.

I also passed one of my retake for Year 2.

I don't think we will have a graduation but planning to do a quiet one at home

Wow that's great, what are your planning on doing after graduation?

Reply 137

I've been applying to primary school jobs, family support workers, play worker roles and I've found a couple of nursery nurse roles on a ward.

Going to see what I get offered and go from there. I still want to work with babies/children
