Is Huddersfield really as bad as its reputation? Is it a decent place to live as a student or is it not that bad. It doesn't exactly have glowing reviews what with the crime etc

yeah there's great variation in nice places to live and not nice places
you're unlikely to hate a place based on something you couldn't have ascertained beforehand though
if you lived in a noisy city and didn't mind it then you'll probably be okay living in a place like huddersfield even if other people say "its awful!"
if you're from a small village, you may find it never feels like home. but at university, it doesn't need to feel like home
