Calling all Year 13s! Goldsmiths Computing's very own Dr Simon Katan will be running free sessions on "Recursion and Programming Concepts through Creative Coding" just for you! :cyber:

The masterclass will be split across three 90 minute sessions, as follows:

  • Session 1: 16:00, Wednesday 9 September
  • Session 2: 16:00, Wednesday 16 September
  • Session 3: 16:00, Wednesday 23 September

Session 1: You will learn to apply a selection of fundamental programming concepts within the p5.js framework to create graphical
outputs. These will be reused in session 3 as part of the Defender game.

Session 2: Apply recursive function calls to create novel graphics. Through this students will develop a more intuitive understanding of how recursive processes can proliferate.

Session 3: Understand recursive searches and data structures and apply them to creating game mechanics for a side scroller game.

If you're an A-level student with some knowledge of computer science and want to learn more about applying these concepts to your own programming, sign up to attend here.
