University of Birmingham Battery Park Accomodation

Hi guys,

Just wanted to see if anyone had experiences of Battery Park for uni of Birmingham. Seems a bit weird to me that the building is literally on a retail park and right next to Sainsbury’s -

(1) is the location odd, and does anyone have any opinions on it Battery Park’s social life etc?

My other options are Chamberlain, Bournbrook, Mason and Metalworks. I put Battery Park down as my first choice since it’s central to shops - Chamberlain on the vale seems really far to all supermarkets, takeaways and pubs etc. However, Chamberlain is also closer to other students on The Vale and idk how much of an issue being far from supermarkets and takeaways etc would pose. Edgbaston just seems a bit empty.

(2) do people just order online food shops when on the vale, and is it that much better than being on Selly oak?
