How do I tell my mum that I think I'm autistic?

My mum is that type of person who thinks your overreacting when you think that your ill or somethings wrong (if I feel like I'm gonna be sick she will tell me to have medicine and get on with it).
I think that I am autistic and I want to be put on the waiting list to be assessed. But I don't know how to tell her.
I don't really want to tell her face-to-face as I fear as similar response and I struggle to talk about my thoughts and emotions.

If anyone has any advice on telling a parent news similar to this, I would be very grateful.

I think that the best way to approach something like this is to just sit down with your mum and tell her what you're concerned about, I don't really know if there are any good options that don't require you to speak in front of her

Before you speak to her, try to think about what you're going to say. Has this condition been effecting you at school/work? Is it difficult for you to concentrate? Do you find it hard to socialise with other people? Don't overthink this and try to keep it as simple as possible. You could start by saying something like "can I speak to you for a moment?"

Another option would be to contact your GP/school counsellor and express your concern there, but I can understand how difficult this could be if you're a nervous person
