Warwick Social Research vs Leeds Social Research MA

I'm currently undecided between two courses, Social Inequalities and Research Methods MSc at Warwick University and Social Research MA at Leeds University and I need help! The course at Leeds is ESRC (Economic and Social Research Council) recognised but the one at Warwick isn't. The course at Leeds offers Social Policy modules as optional modules but Warwick doesn't. I have a full scholarship covering the fees at Warwick but on a reserve list for a 5k scholarship for Leeds. I don't know exactly what I want to do in the future but I have always liked the idea of doing a PhD and further research but I'm also interested in joining the civil service through the Social Research fast stream. I need help deciding which course is better? I did my undergrad at Leeds uni (in a different dept) and so I know what it is like.
What is the Sociology department like at Warwick?
Has anyone studied at both unis? If so, how do they compare?
Also, how important is having an ESRC recognised masters for PhD applications with ESRC funding?
The masters at Warwick is not really interdisciplinary compared to the Leeds one, will it matter if, for example, I wanted to do a PhD in something IR/Politics related?
