Uk med students intercalating in Spain or Italy?

Hey, question is in the title really, if any of you have done this please let me know! I am a 3rd year med student looking to intercalate next year or the year after in one of these countries.
Hello!
I don't think 'intercalation' is a thing in Southern Europe unfortunately :frown:
The standards MBBS in Spain/Italy is 6 years long...

Something you could do is approach a uni in Italy/Spain, ask them if they are willing to take you on to do a year there as an Erasmus+ student, then ask your med school if you could make that count as an intercalated year.
I know someone who did something similar going to Germany but...I don't know the details/not sure how it worked tbh!
I don't think Brexit has fully kicked in yet but even so, I'm not 100% what changes will be made to higher education and mobility across Europe next year so definitely worth discussing with someone at your uni.
