Welcome to this introverted extrovert's scholarly blog!
Your favourite future equine veterinarian welcomes you to her A-Level journey

Introduction
For those that don't know me, hi I'm Macy and I'm going into Year 12 to study Chemistry, Biology, Maths.
I will be staying at the same Sixth Form, so hopefully not much will change- other than the stress level, and I may decide to take a Cambridge Pre U in italian which should not help with exam anxiety oops.
I am 16, a Taurus (for those of you into zodiac signs) and my favourite colour is yellow, whilst my passions include art, learning languages, playing sports- including horse riding, cricket (played for Essex a while back), x-country (and long distance running) and more, however, my love for horses takes over :')

I am fluent in SARCASM, along with a few languages, and I'm also a full-time PROCRASTINATOR so watch out!
I would consider myself an outdoor person, but when my lazy side takes over there is NO way in heaven, hell or earth that I will get up and walk more than a few steps, bye bye fitness..
If we're talking cartoons I could watch The Simpsons, Scooby Doo, Spongebob, Gumball, Adventure time
and many more, all of the time- I'm such a child at heart. I do watch other shows I promise.. and when I like them I binge watch them :"D I actually watched 5 seasons of Jane the virgin in slightly over a week whilst on holiday... Either way, I actually grew up watching a lot of anime which is quite strange as I don't really watch any now, but I can say my favourite used to be 'The roses of Versailles' (idk why this is relevant, but at the time i thought it was).
My favourite subjects have to be Chemistry and Biology, but I'd be lying if I said I preferred school over sport haha.
I am hoping to study veterinary medicine at either Cambridge, RVC, Liverpool or Nottingham, although my fourth option is still being evaluated and I may consider applying to Hartpury for an equine sport science course, just as a backup.
My school day schedule is currently looking like it'll be 8:35am-2:45pm until everything goes back to normal, which is not anytime soon I believe..

I have NO EXPERIENCE whatsoever in GYG's, I mean I have a failed blog if it helps haha, so bear with me whilst I figure everything out and the 'edit' button will slowly become my best friend!

Mon GCSE's
Overall, I'd like to say I'm pretty pleased with my GCSE's as I got what I expected, well other than in chemistry which was a bummer, well here are the numbers that were written on the paper:

Goals
I don't have many goals planned for this year, however, I'm overall just hoping to get all A's in my AS Levels this year (you can't get A*'s right?)
Here are some goals that I have managed to come up with other than the main one:

Make my mind up on whether I'll sit all 4 A levels or drop either Economics or Maths (Update: I won't start economics!)
Get some work experience done, if I can't find many placements I'll just spend more time at the stables
Find out about Cambridge Pre U's and decide whether I should take one in Italian
Practice the Cambridge Natural Sciences entrance exam, as I'll need to sit it
Learn more about the vet courses at each uni, and about the paths you have to take to specialise in equine vet medicine
Get a revision timetable/schedule sorted out early, last year no revision was done
Procrastinate less and do work, but don't become a hermit!
Not put too much pressure on myself as that's always been a struggle and enjoy the year ahead :')
NEW GOAL! - Find EPQ subject you'd like to do

EXAM BOARDS:
-Chemistry= OCR A
-Biology= OCR A
-Maths= Edexcel
-EPQ (theme/subject)= tbc

How do you put links in words like that?

you have to go to view source and then edit the name of the link - but not the link itself - the name that comes after the link

DO you mean when you add an internet link?

Insert a link option [looks like a circle on the mini tool bar where you reply - put link in the top space and then type the words in where it says 'description'
Subbing  good luck for year 12 - make sure you enjoy it!
Love the title! Looking forward to this Macy!

Stoooop Procrastinating- ironically i'm sort of doing that now

Quit putting so much pressure on yourself- It has affected me quite negatively before and lead to me panicking in exams

If you don't understand something ask straightaway- Don't think you'll teach yourself properly with google

Don't leave tasks and hw's for the last minute- Pretty self explanatory

Don't mess around in class/distract yourself- I thought talking and listening at the same time wouldn't matter- but you don't learn as effectively

Organise revision schedule/organise your work- Put everything in order, make everything neat and easy to find, don't panic last minute

Learn how to revise and find the most suitable technique- I currently am not able to revise properly, I feel dumb
