    Went on trains by myself. Used to be terrified of public transport but not anymore

    £1,000,000 (or more realistically, the first 1000 dp of pi in my memory)

    17th December. The day I was told I was getting an Oxford offer.
    I also lost my virginity but I really can't remember the date. (says it all really)

    8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
    Oxford. Full marks on Senior Maths Challenge. Finally nailing the fake triple in pen spinning. (something I've been working on since September last year).

    9. What was your biggest failure?
    Failing to beat 30 million on Ikaruga like I promised I'd do.

    Outkast. Hey Ya. (released in 2003 but still)
    That Pop Muzik song by whoever (M I think).
    Madonna - True Blue and Red Box - For America remind me of the summer.

    August 28th. Was at Reading Festival, the sun was shining eventually after it had utterly pised down for days and I was having a laugh

    Getting up the courage to apply for Camp America. Passing 2 modules of my first year of uni.

    Failing to pass two modules of my uni first year. Twice.

    I sprained my wrist (or rather a friend did for me) during Euro 2004, when she jumped at me when England scored, bending my wrist back against the pool table in the pub. Had to wear a splint for a few weeks. Had a few xrays for suspected broken fingers from doing Karate, but nothing was ever broken.

    Move to a different country (i.e. England) all by myself.

    2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Don't think I had one for 2004. This year it's going to be "get organised / become self-disciplined / get into a routine / get enough sleep"...and I'll try very hard to be good and keep it, and not preemptively rule out the possibility that it might actually work. (And then there's my *zoic* resolution, which I will likewise endeavor to keep)

    I don't really have a fashion concept. Whatever's reasonably stylish and comfortable is ok by me.

    Definitely my bf.

    I haven't fancied any this year... I've grown out of that now!

    My bf when I'm not with him, but also my lovely ex-flute teacher. He was like a father to me, then I had to stop having lessons because I didn't have the time or money to travel to his house for lessons

    My bf, clearly!

    1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
    I'd no doubt get my post edited or accused of corrupting the young innocents if i said.. suffice to say, it was an earth moving experience.. ahem.

    2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
    hmm, not especially - they'll probably be the same 'work harder' & 'exercise more' this year!

    3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
    not especially close, though my bf became an uncle!

    4. Did anyone close to you die?
    likewise, my step-great-grandmother

    5. What countries did you visit?
    erm. nowhere. *loser*

    6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
    i don't think i really lacked anything..have been a happy bunny.

    either 13th March or 6th June. "i love you" & something aluded to in 1)

    8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
    Demy Socci, baby! :elefant: though hmm..pressure for this year..

    once again, i avoided doing anything i might really fail at.. i suppose being called for a viva in 1 evil paper, but obviously it went well!

    10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
    probably general 2nd hand fresher's illness. the memorable injury was being hit squarely in the nose w/ the ball whilst playing lacrosse in 1st match of season. hurt like hell. i think i probably chipped the bone. i'm a medical student, not a hypercondriac..ahem :nurse:

    11. What was the best thing you bought?
    pff, not really that materialistic. erm.. my dress for Queens' Ball due to the REACTION it got!

    12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
    our men's First VIII (including bf) = HEAD OF THE RIVER! on the 50th anniversary since the last time they did.. :beer:

    13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
    the ex - bordered on mentally disturbed

    14. Where did most of your money go?
    on Trinity term = my birthday, ball, exam celebrations.. or perhaps this Christmas!

    15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
    finishing exams.. seeing bf after vacation time apart.

    this is tough.. 'I touch Myself' by the Divinyls or '18 till i die' Bryan Adams.

    hmm, generally more happier, less exhausted. more relaxed about work.. looking forward to Christmas even more because he's not 1000s of miles away..

    worthy extracurriculars!

    lounging around being :love: -d up..? hmm..maybe not.

    family & bf..very exciting. & only doing the 'fun' parts of my holiday work..

    i don't get to watch enough TV at uni!

    no. but i no longer hate someone i did this time last year.. yay.

    'anatomy & phsyiology' 'medical sociology' ahem. this is sad, i can't remember the last book i read for pleasure..

    hmm, see the TV Q!

    bf - not in general, him specifically. (damn, i sound sappy..!)

    Shrek 2!

    19. it was in the summer, just before my exams. we had a big picnic in one of the meadows of my college's grounds.. oodles of Pimms & yummy food. then basically the entire JCR joined in with a BBQ later at the same place. & there was much punting going on! & my friend made a surprise visit back from the states that co-incided!

    32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
    more money? then i would have gone on holiday, perhaps.

    hmm..sophisticated? pff.

    his faith in me. chocolate. internet forums to be a ***** on..? lol

    pfff. bf somewhat of a boatie celeb.. hehe.

    erm. probably ANIMAL TESTING people in Oxford. :hmpf:

    friends from home who didn't manage to visit during my terms.

    hmm, not a new person as such, but i got to know a lot better the person i co captain lax with.. & she's lovely. a healthy bad influence on moi!

    hmm, the important thing in relationships is to be able to work through the problems & be stronger because of it, not merely to avoid ever having any!
