Put it in your rear window, and go get it fixed. No idea as to cost. Call a few places for a quote.

A new plate shouldn't cost more than £20 - see here:

If your old one is undamaged, then just re-use it.

Modern cars use sticky pads to attach the numberplate. Older ones may be screwed on. Which type is yours?

Either way, some strong adhesive double sided pads should be able to stick it back on

just screw it on.

Until you get it fixed just leave it on your dash board use celitape to stop it moving about. That should still be legal because then you still have a numberplate visible at the front and the back of your car.

It's a screw one.

As long as your numberplate is visable at the front, you're legal. So, as others have said, stick in on your dahboard.

Go and get some of the super-strong double-backed sticker things - The foam square ones. And stick it on that way.

Nowadays the best bet is to get the screws that cannot be unscrewed without the special tool, or the break away plates. Stops your plates being stolen.

I went out and passed through a flooded street, after the whole driving when I got home. I felt I looked at my vehicle, only for my front plate not to be there. What am I to do?

Go back next day and see if you can find it?

This happened to me a couple of years back and someone had picked it up and propped it at the side of the road.

if that fails you can get another one made at an independent car parts shop (or people making numberplates sell them on ebay)
