How hard is it to get an internship for the summer? Can you do one abroad? And can I get one even if my a levels aren’t the best.

Depends what industry, company and role - the more prestigious, the harder it is. You need exceptional academics, relevant experience and an overall interesting/compelling story/profile.

Applying abroad is harder due to visa requirements and high competition from local students - but not necessarily impossible.

You need good A Level grades, certain firms have minimum requirements. But again this can differ for the role you’re applying for.
